Distressed Metal Notebook

This is one of the projects that we are making this week at our monthly session at our church. I got 3 of these little notebooks to alter for $1 at the dollar tree this week and thought that they would be fun to cover and decorate. This is the project that i came up with.
I used an old dictionary page that was falling apart for the background paper. I distressed the edges with my Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distress ink. I don't remember ever stamping on Metal and embossing before so i thought that i'd give this project a shot too. For the leaf I used a Stampin up stamp set called "Wonderful You". The sentiment is from the "Noteworthy" set also from stampin'up. After completing the leaves embossing, i just cut the image out and used it as my "Focal" point in the project.  I added a little raffia to the top and all done.
