Sad Day

     This is a very sad day for my family. Our cat "Smokey" passed away last night. She had been sick and in a lot of ways it was a blessing, but it is still very hard. My son decided that he wasn't going to church with my daughter and i this morning.  His heart was breaking and he needed some time alone. When i'm sad i like to be by myself to sometimes, so we respected his wishes. He seemed to feel a little better after we arrived home.
     On a much brighter note, I finished a card today. I used  Meljen Designs image called "Snowboy".It was mounted using Spellbinders Square die, label die and a doily outlined in glitter glue. I colored the images with my Copic markers today, added Glitter glue and Puff paint also to the image.  The base is layered with papers from DCWV and i added Confetti Snowflakes that i just bought from Walmart and then since the Meljen challenge this week is stars, i added many star buttons all over from my stash.

    I am so sorry for your loss. It is so hard to say good bye to a trusted friend. I admire you for realizing your sons need to greive in his own way. hugs!

    So sad about your pet - I know how hard that is.

    Love your cute and pretty card! The doily and mesh are just fantastic on this card. Love those fabulous snowflakes too! Just great.

    The mesh down the side of the card is such a nice addition. I really like it! The colors are great, and I love that snowman, especially with all the sparkle! Very nice!

    Hi Deonna: I am so sorry about your cat...it is such a heartache when an animal passes...I had a dog that was killed and you know...sometimes I think it is harder than a person...so my prayers are out to you. Hang in.

    The mesh adds so much texture to the card. The star buttons in the middle of the snowflakes is a really creative idea.
