Thanks to the challenge blog "Just us Girls" i was able to find this tutorial on Tim Holtz distressing and making flowers. I have already made a lot of these flowers in all different colors. I've made numerous colors of the shimmer mist with my perfect pearls. I bought colored spray bottles from Walmart in the travel size area for only .97 each. I'm taking them to Florida with me so i can make flowers while my dad is having surgery. I may even get my mom making flowers for me. Anyway, here is my first card using my special handmade roses.
You can find the tutorial
Here on how to make the flowers and shimmer mist. The paper that i used is from the flower shower stack by DCWV,Branch punch from Martha Stewart, Sentiment and Butterfly from Crafting with DeeDee's digis. I colored the butterfly with the same shimmer mists that i used on the flowers. All that i can say is FUN,FUN,FUN.

WOW, Deonna -- this is jaw-dropping gorgeous! Your flowers are incredible, and the colors you used are so cheery. Love how you made the scripture the centerpiece, and used the butterfly as an accent. Thanks so much for sharing this for this week's challenge! Hugs, Deedee

ReplyDeleteHi Deonna - I am a big Fan of Tim Holtz and was lucky enough to take one of his workshops earlier this year at my LSS. He's a pleasure to meet and as friendly in person as his is on his videos and on his blog. I also feel in LOVE with these flowers the first time I saw them and enjoy creating them myself.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your flowers and new card with us over at the StampFairy Challenge Blog. I hope you'll be back again next week and will play for your chance to win some of the adorable StampFairy Images!
