Somewhat Vintage Christmas

Okay, I was trying to make a vintage Christmas card. I do believe that the lace doilly, paper and the distress inks (Vintage photo and Tea die) help the look, but i sure didn't make my image look vintage.  This is a Kenny K digi stamp that i won this week from the Kenny K Krafty girlz challenge blog.  Her name is "Mistletoe". I tried something new on this card. I weaved my ribbon up the side of the card after coloring my white grosgrain ribbon with my Gold acrylic Tim Holtz paint.  It worked wonderful! I then added Stickles glitter glue along the edges of the ribbon.  I painted my white pearls with my Copic markers so i could have red and then used my new Whimsy stamp bottle cap stamp and die to cut out the sentiment. It was then mounted with a Tim Holtz Memo Pin. I also added fun flock to my girls white areas of fur.

That's it for today! I'm trying to get little candy holders finished in between making cards for my sons Fall party next week and i still need to finish a project for the local MOPS group to make in Early October. I love doing paper projects though. Now if someone could just get my other work done. LOL.

  5. Very clever card, even if the image isn't vintage. Personally, I like the contrast between the two. Thanks for sharing with us at Tuesday Throwdown this week. Hope to see you again.
